This Salt River Engagement session with Jennifer and Carlos was one of my favorite days. What better place for this desert loving Phoenix Wedding Photographer to shoot their engagement photos than in the Tonto National Forest.
Carlos and Jen became engaged in the midst of a global pandemic. The world as we all knew it was changed and that meant adapting with it.
They knew right away that their engagement would not be an extended one and with such uncertainty happening in the world, these two just wanted to get married and I couldn’t wait to capture it! You’ll find me here.
Carlos describes them as being a little bit quirky & kindhearted and Jennifer describes them as Cautiously Adventurous. Personally, I feel especially close to these two because I’d describe myself very much the same. Carlos and Jen trusted me to choose the location for their engagement photos and I was excited to share this special place with them. I found the location fitting for these two because they both grew up somewhere else but met in Arizona.
The Tonto National Forest is quite vast at 2.9 million acres with its stunning Sonoran Desert cacti. We chose to photograph at the Phon D Sutton area of the Forest. The backdrop for Carlo and Jen’s photos was Red Mountain, a few clouds and tons of majestic cacti. We had a great time capturing their engagement photos as well as getting to know each other before their fall wedding.
The next time I photograph Carlos and Jen, it will be at their intimate Micro Wedding in Scottsdale, Arizona. I’d love to talk to you about being your wedding photographer too! Click here and let’s chat.
